RSNA 2013: VNA, PACS market trends broken down by KLAS researcher

KLAS research Vice President Ben Brown discusses PACS and vendor neutral archive market trends in reports released around RSNA 2013.

CHICAGO -- Physicians are demanding more of their imaging data systems, vendor neutral archives (VNAs), and picture archiving and communications systems (PACS), seeking new workflow efficiencies and patient care quality enrichments. That's because radiology images are windows into the patient, said Ben Brown, vice president of research at KLAS Enterprises LLC.

In this podcast, recorded on site at the 99th Radiological Society of North America Scientific Assembly & Annual Meeting, Brown breaks down which vendors are effecting different workflows. He also explores the different business motivators pushing healthcare providers to venture into the VNA and PACS markets.
