Everywhere I go I see a new app for measuring this or that, but I’m wondering, do doctors/physicians even use mobile apps? Any doctors want to weigh in on this?

Is there any long-term evidence to support that mHealth technology, tools, apps, etc. can truly modify behavior by increasing patient engagement and connectivity? I’d be interested to hear from providers who have seen a “lasting” uptick in patient engagement and if there is any adherence data for some of today’s most utilized mHealth applications. Thanks!

· What are some of the best case studies of success in terms of hospitals who have been through a larger-scale mobile health implementation (iPad roll out?), who are good poster children for the process and can speak to the benefits, ROI, etc?

Someone asked me this the other day: Who supports the development of free mobile apps? If you look on the iTunes App Store, you’ll see a variety of free apps. Do companies make money by releasing free apps?
