Qualifying for Meaningful Use
To qualify for "Meaningful Use" and receive government funding from ARRA, how long does a physician have to be demonstrating "Meaningful Use"? I've seen reference to one year.
Answer Wiki:
A physician initially qualifies for an incentive if he or she has demonstrated meaningful use for a 90-day period. As the meaningful use rules are currently written, this time period could begin as soon as Oct. 1, which is the first day of the federal government's 2011 fiscal year. For all reporting periods thereafter, meaningful use must be demonstrated for the full year.
