In this delivery, we examine basics of the Administrative Simplification portion of the HIPAA legislation. In addition to examining HIPAA Transactions and Code Sets, Identifiers, Privacy and Security; the changes for all organizations that have access to Protected Health Information (PHI) due to the HITECH Act for Business Associates and Breach Notification requirements. The CHP Program delves into the Meaningful Use requirements; so this is a full curriculum that brings everyone up to date on what is expected of organizations going forward.
