Unleashing the Power of Open Health Data for Better Patient Engagement and Outcomes

The HealthMart’12 Conference, Trade Show and Datapalooza (Oct. 2 – 3, 2012, Worcester, MA) is designed to bring together providers, health plan representatives, policy makers, vendors and other healthcare professionals to learn about cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions for improving healthcare. The first day will be a series of workshops on EHR deployment, mobile health implementation, ACO frameworks and clinical data analytics. The second day will be a competition for organizations that are developing applications that utilize health data to enhance patient engagement. Registration includes admission to both days of this unique opportunity to trade valuable insights and creative solutions with your HIT peers and industry thought leaders.

DAY 2: DATAPALOOZA

Are you developing a new product that will improve healthcare and enhance the role of patients? Do you have a great idea that’s ready to be put into action? The Massachusetts Health Data Consortium is calling for all entrepreneurs and innovators with a product or application that will improve health outcomes, technology, or efficiency to compete in the New England Health Datapalooza. Enter the contest to compete in front of a panel of judges and a room filled with health data professionals on the second day of the HealthMart’12 Conference. You will gain exposure, experience, and possibly a grand prize of at least $4,000 and entry into the National Datapalooza in 2013.

The data source for entries is the databases collected by the US Department of Health and Human Services, and available at www.healthdata.gov.

Entry deadline is September 14, 2012.
