Using mHealth to reach meaningful use stage 2, patient engagement

BOSTON -- Meaningful use stage 2 has a tricky -- for some providers -- provision mandating patient engagement with electronic health data, at least in its current proposed state. It's not tricky for Kaiser Permanente, a health care organization that drives patient engagement via its mHealth initiatives.

Gardner concludes the interview by offering tips for health care providers just getting started with their own patient engagement initiatives.
