PODCAST: Crystal-ball gazing for EHR purchasing trends

What will be driving electronic health records (EHR) purchasing trends across U.S. health care for the next four years? Judy Hanover, research director for IDC Health Insights breaks down the latest data published in the firm's report, "Business Strategy: U.S. Electronic Health and Medical Records 2009-2015 -- Meaningful Use Spending Forecast and Analysis."

But hospitals will be purchasing their share of new systems too, as they plan for meaningful use stages 2 and 3. Hanover discusses how these regulations will affect both types of health care provider.
