Not surprisingly, IDC Health Insights predicts the ambulatory EHR market will grow significantly more than the inpatient market, as physician practices and small groups catch up to hospitals. But hospitals will be purchasing their share of new systems too, as they plan for meaningful use stages 2 and 3.
