Every year I look forward to seeing the new innovations that companies bring. Last years i was looking at some of the new HIE accomplishments and how private and public sectors are exchanging information. I also got to see some cool technologies such as the Surface by Microsoft. Most EHR vendors has the same features and functionality. I also got to see some of the new technologies in transcriptions. Nuance and M*modal.
This year I would like to see more on mobile devices and how they can be utilized in the health-care arena. Also sitting in some of the educational sessions as they pack a great deal of information.

We’ll be going to HIMSS. Our booth is 3674. This year we’ll be demonstrating our IP-based networked locking system for cabinets, doors and medications. There is a press release on our website about an installation at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, MD.
Can’t wait to get down to Florida. Hopefully the snow doesn’t follow us down…again.
I always enjoy hearing about hospitals and medical groups that are leveraging social media to share examples of successes and failures in health IT.
