In addition ensuring that the appropriate individuals are the only ones to have access and with the use of HIEs adds more complexity. MR directors also work closely with IT to ensure that any of the data that leaves the network must be secured and ensuring that any device with data stored directly on it, must be encrypted (laptops for example).
