Preliminary reports and RIS PACS
Radiologists needs to produce preliminary reports or wet reports for urgent and stat cases in many institutes.If it is on paper then it is easy but with the RIS PACS how can this be handled.

There are two ways to handle this.
Scene 1 : If the RIS and integrated PACS workstation is near to the modality then Radiologists can dictate the prelimeinary report on RIS and does not change the status to approve but make it available under the heading of Preliminary report as status -'Written'.
Scene 2: If the PACS web client is near the modality and RISPACS Workstation is not located near the modality console then PACS client can be used by Radiologists to enter the exam notes which becomes the part of the image and is available as prelimary report to the referring physician.
