Potential repeal of HITECH funding, impact on meaningful use mandates?
I have a question regarding the GOP bill currently in legislation, standing to repeal HITECH funding.
If this bill repeals funding under HITECH, does it also repeal meaningful use mandates? Or are the incentives and mandates linked, so that if the incentives and eventually the financial penalties disappear, so do the mandates? Any guidance is much appreciated.

I know that there are many discretionary spending that are on the chopping block. While the house maybe able to cut the HITECH incentives, the senate with the majority democrats will most likely not vote for that bill. Which will mean that the HITECH funds will not be affected by the proposed bill.

I didn’t know about this issue. I don’t agree about cutting incentives.
