What are the measures being taken to ensure improved patient outcome measures from a workflow standpoint. Would this be the shift from procedural based healthcare?

This is a great question. EHRs should improve patient care and reduce medical errors, but do we know that this will happen? As health care providers get bogged down with clinical workflow hiccups, will more errors occur? It will be interesting to measure objective patient outcomes along with subjective patient-reported outcomes as we switch from paper to computers.
