Answer Wiki:
Managing staff mobile devices for the enterprise, is an access and security challenge. Hence, the mobile vendors (AT&T, Verizon, etc.), are now offering "mobile managed services", to their enterprise customers. This gives the enterprise more control and security measures, and also offers VoIP (Voice-over-IP) and "unified communications". The ability to have one contact medium (cell, email, etc), communication a message across other mediums (text to cell, landline (POTS) to cell ). Downfall for employees if unified communications is not offered, employees may be required to carry two mobile devices, personal and enterprise!

My organization provides an separate wifi network for patients and staff to use with their electronic devices. This network is isolated from our business network to minimize security risks. We also use exchange and IMAP email services and will support our staff in accessing these services on their mobile devices if they choose to.
