Is competition appropriate in in the healthcare market place?
In NC where I live, and specifically in Charlotte, there is tremendous competition amongst some of the big health systems here. But I constantly finding myself wondering what impacts this has on patient care?

Answer Wiki:
Healthy competition is necessary in any type of industry these days. This gives patients myriad of options and giving them the liberty to choose what type of coverage they will purchase. Monopoly is never a good thing and for me having options is advantageous on the part of consumers. Sure they have the options but they still need to do something first like request for ltcoptions - quotes for long term care insurance coverage, so that they can compare the benefits and costs of a coverage first before choosing what will most likely satisfy their healthcare needs in the future.
