Data Migration often is tedious task.What can be done to simplify the data migration task and what are the different options available for facility in context of migrating data from legacy system to new RIS PACS System

Yes it is correct that data migration often turn out ot be a tediuos task.You can simplify the data migration tasks by selecting suitable strategy among various stratgies.One can opt not to take the old data from legacy system to new system and Facility can survive without that also with little inconveneince to the physicians for limited time.Variuos strategies could be 1) Migrate RIS data and old PACS images 2) Migrate only RIS data minus PACS images 3) Migrate only Demographic data for the patients and donot migrate the Reports and Images 4) By using the default values rather than doing mapping of the legacy System Master data to new RIS PACS Master File data cause huge simplification of the migration task.
