Federal Health Information Exchange (FHIE)
Federal Health Information Exchange (FHIE) is a health information sharing project that allows
the Department of Defense to share service members’ personal health information in a joint storage
area also accessible by the Veterans Health Administration. This information includes demographics,
any medication taken and lab results.
